What is this service?
Stepping Stone Projects is a provider of high quality housing, support and charitable services for people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home. The charity has been operating since 1984, following lobbying by the Rochdale Voluntary Action’s Standing Committee on Homelessness.
Since our first project in Rochdale we have expanded and we now deliver services across the North-West in Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Blackburn and Rossendale as well as Rochdale.
We believe that everyone has a right to quality accommodation and services which help them to achieve their optimum level of independence.
Our work supports service users to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to secure and maintain independent accommodation as soon as they are able.
We work in close partnership with local Strategic Authorities, Supporting People Commissioners and other stakeholders to identify and deliver quality, value for money services.
Who is it for?
Our services are of benefit to people with a wide range of needs and background. We aim to support people who are vulnerable for many reasons, including (but not exclusively) their young age, leaving care, learning difficulties, mental health problems, offending issues, and drug and alcohol misuse.
